Oct. 8, 2025 - Career Day

10:00am - 12:30pm. Your opportunity to share insights and info about your profession to GWHS students. All professions welcome! Participants will be at assigned tables on the Esplanade to talk and answer questions, show displays, and give handouts—no electricity, no laptop presentations! Sign up by Sep. 30 here.

Sep. 20, 2025 - 21st Annual Kellys Cove Reunion & Great Highway Memorial

2:30pm gather around and prep the firepit, Ocean Beach at Stairway 1
3:00 - 4:00pm firepit memorial ceremony calling out the names of our departed friends and beach family. Bring raffle items and appetizers for evening portion to the beach, Arne and other organizers will bring them to the Cafe.
5:00 - 7:30pm La Promenade Cafe 3643 Balboa St., appetizers, raffle and movie clips from “The Great Highway, the history of surfing in San Francisco, told by those of us lived it“ (read filmmaker interview here) – secret password at the door: “Pray for Surf!” The cafe is not charging for use of their space and would appreciate orders of drinks and menu items; please support this community resource.

Sep. 27, 2025 - S.F. Prep Hall of Fame induction Awards Luncheon

Inductees include Varsity Football coach 1995–2003 Damon Keeve.

Oct. 18, 2025 - 37th Annual S.F. Old Car Picnic

Speedway Meadow (Hellman Hollow), Golden Gate Park. Registration (benefits programs for the developmentally disabled) for 1999 or older cars & trucks $40, motorcycles $20, bicycles $10. Spectators free. Beware individuals on Facebook claiming to accept registrations, only deal with their site.
